Happy with these, but noise cancellation is only for the MIC not the headphones.

These headphones are pretty good. They aren't perfect, but to get better you have to spend double the amount.
What I liked...
** They have a really long cord -10 feet long to be exact. You can use these to play from anywhere. If you are only using this for music, you don't need this benefit, but if you are gaming, it will be appreciated.
** They are lightweight. I have a 20 year old pair of earmuff headphones like these, and the quality is the same, but the weight of these new ones is 1/3 less, and they don't squeeze my ears like my old pair, which means I can wear them a lot longer.
* Noise cancelling MIC. Please note: THESE ARE NOT NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES. They have a noise cancelling MICROPHONE. Noise cancelling headphones have a distinctive light hiss, and actively reduce outside sound, by creating negative noise. These do not do this in any way. They will just make it easier for people on the other end of your game to hear you. It doesn't make it any easier for you to hear them.
* Comfortable. I actually have used these for jogging on the treadmill, and I found that there was a little air circulation, which meant I didn't sweat like I thought I would. (I later read that these headphones were designed for this air circulation, which I found was a nice touch.)
What I didn't like...
- The description on the Amazon product page might need to be rewritten a little bit. It is not misleading, per se, but it can be a little confusing. Many of the reviews for this product are written by people who are touting its noise cancelling abilities, while, in reality, there are no noise cancelling qualities of the headphones, only the microphone. They are good headphones, and the earmuff like speakers do insulate your ears from outside noise, but there is no active noise cancelling interference going on, like with other high end Sennheiser or Bose sets, only insulation from outside noise. If you really want "noise cancellation" as a feature, you'll have to look for higher end headphones.
- No volume control or mute button. For serious headphone/mic gaming, a mute button is important, but these headphones don't have one. For headphones, a volume control toggle would have been nice -instead, you have to go to the actual device directly (TV, iPad, or whatever) to adjust the volume.
Overall, a nice quality set of headphones. Recommended.

Great Headset

I work at home and am on the phone (VoIP) almost 8 hours a day.
This headset is so light and comfortable, I hardly know it is on my head.
After 8 hours with it on, I have no discomfort at all. The noise canceling mic is awesome and the sound quality is amazing.
I've owed other Sennheiser headsets (for other PC's) in the past and this one is just as good as the previous ones if not better!

Love this headphone!!

I bought these headphones to replace a logitech headphone/mic that
broke after about a year. It was a usb headset that one day windows wouldn't
recognize anymore and there was no type of software update for it.
I looked through the various headsets available on Amazon and didn't want to go
with Logitech and came across the Sennheiser PC 310. I always heard good things
about Sennheiser and gave it a try. I've been using it for almost 3 months and I
am very happy with the purchase. The sound is sharp and has great bass.
It's a sturdy headset that's fairly comfortable. I haven't really used the microphone
much so I can't comment on that part. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy this headset for
years to come as Amazon implies.
If you're looking for some headphones that you want to enjoy in the comforts of your room
with great sound quality, then this is the set for you.
