4Stylish & affordable wired on-ear game cans also for outdoors
By Eugene Tenenbaum
SteelSeries 3HV2 is a stylish, elegant, and not flashy headset with lightweight (6 ozs) sturdy plastic/metal construction that fully folds, with a solid retractable microphone & flexible cord, and functional in-line controls of volume and microphone mute. The 3HV2 is the only pocket H model and has a better frequency response for listening music than the 5HV3 model. However the sound is not top-notch, but a bit flat and muddy, and the bass performance is less than inspiring. The soft and leathery pads provide comfort on smaller than gigantic heads. The greatest asset is its looks, which resulted from the superior Danish design, at a very reasonable price, which is consistent with the only decent sound from the audio drivers.

3One big negative, just too small for normal adult heads. Otherwise they are fine.
By Two kids mom
Good:

Sound quality is ok, certainly on par with the price point.

Orange tangle free cord is nice.

They certainly isolate sound, you cannot hear what is going on around you much at all.

The mic pulls out from the headseat and pushes back in for storage.

They fold up easily.

They do not give that feeling in the ears of air pressure, which some completely sealing earphones to me.
Easy to change volume, which with Skype calls is very useful.

In spite of not having a noise cancelling microphone, the person on the other end did not complain about ambient sounds on my end.

Leather covering on the headsets. I have had ones with plastic covered foam, and after a while the foam starts peeling off.

Bad:
On a full adult head, they really are a bit small. I found that wearing them became uncomfortable after about a half hour, they simply felt too tight. My teenage son borrowed them and found them fine, he wore them for 3 hours straight and probably would have kept going had I not cut him off from gaming.
This is a big negative, I do not have particularly large head, so I imagine that these will be uncomfortable for many adults.

In spite of all the other positive aspects, I have to rate them only 3 stars, since if you cannot stand to wear them you cannot enjoy the sound or useful store away mic.
